Grand Opening Tournament - 2 person Best Ball 18 holes
$10.00 per person |
Each golfer plays their own ball into the hole. The lower score relative to par between the paired golfers is the team score for the hole. Total the best ball scores for each hole to get the team score for the tournament. If individual scores are kept and all holes are completed, then scores may be entered for USGA handicap calculation. 2 Person Alternate Shot, $10 entry fee:

On the 1 st hole, the chosen golfer will tee off. If the ball goes out-of-bounds, that golfer will be required to hit again. Teammates will then alternate shots until the ball is holed. The teammate who holes the putt is NOT permitted to tee off on the next hole. Continue alternating shots for 18 holes. NO handicap required. |

This event is not sanctioned by the MVGC or falls under NNGA guidelines. Each golfer will tee off and team selects the ball from where the next shot will be played. Each golfer hits their next shot, within one (1) club length, from the selected lie without improving the lie until the team decides to putt or reaches the putting surface. On the green, the ball is placed within a scorecard length of the selected ball. Continue in this manner until a ball is holed out. Scrambles are not recognized by the USGA; therefore scores may not be entered for USGA handicap calculation. NO handicap required. Fundraiser for the local American Red Cross to support disaster preparedness and response, service to the armed forces, youth education, and lifesaving skills training. Mulligan’s will be available for purchase. |

USGA handicap required, Following the 1 st round of matches, a 10-day play timeframe for subsequent matches will be enforced. Outside of this timeframe, approval is required by the tournament organizer. If all of the rounds are completed scores may be entered for USGA Handicap calculation. |

FLOG Tournament, $10 entry fee: |
Golf spelled backwards. Start on the 1 st tee and play to the 9th green, then go to the 9 th tee and play to the 8th green, and continue until you play all of the holes backwards. Winner is lowest score. 50% of the entry goes to the payout, 50% goes to a charity. Scores may not be entered for USGA handicap calculation. No handicap required. |

Format, rules of play and/or other tournament information is subject to change by event host. 4 Person scramble golfers are designated as an ODD golfer or EVEN golfer before play begins. Odd golfers draw cards on the odd numbered holes and even golfers draw cards on even numbered holes. The cards will have special directions to help or hinder the golfers. The directions must be followed. No handicap required. |

Flag Tournament, $10 entry fee: USGA handicap required.
|
Each golfer is given a small pin flag inscribed with their name. Using 75% of their current handicap value for 18 holes, the golfer plays until using the same number of strokes equaling par, plus their adjusted handicap. The golfer will stake their flag where the ball lies after using quota of strokes, playing an extra hole if necessary. Example: 10 handicap @75% is equal to 8 additional strokes on a par 71 course. Golfer stakes their flag where the ball lies following the 79th stroke.
The golfer who stakes their flag closest to 18 or farthest beyond wins. Scores may be entered for USGA handicap calculation, if all 18 holes are completed. |

This is a tournament to Honor members of the MVGC who have passed. This fund helps selected Battle Mountain High School student athletes to enter a college of their choice. All entry fees will be used for the scholarship fund.
RTC will sponsor this tournament; they will pay for all of the prizes, lunch, and add an additional donation to the scholarship fund. |
